-------------------------------
Long-distance running relays have exploded in popularity in recent years. Events like Hood to Coast and the Ragnar Relays are experienced by thousands of runners, but how we runners keep track of leg times, paces, and the whereabouts of our teammates has been stuck in the last century with paper, pencil and clipboard. No longer! The Relay App for iPhone/iPod Touch brings your 12-person running relay into the modern age!

With The Relay App you can record total time, handoffs, leg times, and paces. Using our special formula, you can calculate the predicted time and handoff time of each running leg based on the 10k time of your runners. You can email spreadsheets of predictions and results before, during and after the race. You can view maps of the course, and even view a map of your progress in real-time. We include a flyover video of the entire course with The Relay App, showing the route and relay exchanges, to get you psyched for the upcoming event.

Best of all, this program is powered by Twitter and can exchange race info automatically between as many iPhones as you want, allowing you to see how your team is doing in real-time, as long as there is cellphone reception. Moreover, it is designed to work seamlessly in those parts of the course where the reception is spotty via Bluetooth. The Relay App also allows for real-time tracking of the progress of the current
runner if he/she is carrying an iPhone. You can compare the progress of your team against other teams in the relay running The Relay App.

The Relay App is free to download and includes a fictional relay: "The Badwater Relay" (please dont try to run this course!). Individual events, such as Ragnar Relay Southern California 2010, can be acquired via in-app purchase on your iPhone for $4.99. Many more relays will become available soon.

So go ahead and give The Relay App a try! Were sure youll love the features. If running three times in 24 hours, not showering, and sleeping in a van isnt fun enough already, The Relay App will make your relay experience even more enjoyable.
